ReplyDeleteTitle: Here Comes the Sun
ReplyDeleteArtist: The Beatles
“Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here”
This quote sang by The Beatles uses repetition and internal rhyme. The words “little darling” are repeated showing repetition. “Little darling” are also used later on in the song. The lyrics also show a rhyme using “years” and “here”. The rhyme words are in the middle of the line and at the end this makes it a internal rhyme.
I had the same problem with not being able to italicize the lyrics. So I also used quotation marks around the lyrics.
"It´s like my iPod's stuck on replay replay-ay-ay-ay"
ReplyDeleteThis is an example of repition becuase this line is sayed many, many times thriough out the song.

Song: Eye of the Tiger
ReplyDeleteArtist: survivor
"Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger
Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive"
There are many rhymes in this song. Some examples of a slant rhyme are “fast” and “past”, “heat” and “street”. An example of a perfect rhyme is “fight” and “night”. The song also has a rhyme scheme. The 1st and 3rd lines of each stanza have words at the end that rhyme.

“……..Humanity is gone, smoked up in a gravity bong
by a democrat, republican, Cheech and Chong
Immortal Technique, you never heard me preachin' a song
I'm not controversial, I'm just speakin' the facts
